BARCELONA, Spain (February 27, 2024) – YTL Communications, Actiontec Electronics and NetExperience today announced the formation of a strategic partnership to deploy enterprise-grade TIP (Telecom Infra Project) OpenWiFi to YTL Communications customers using Actiontec’s portfolio of compatible access points and NetExperience’s leading OpenWiFi management cloud platform.
YTL Communications’ deployment of Actiontec’s portfolio includes WiFi6 access points in multiple form-factors such as ceiling mount, wall plate and outdoor, to cater to customer needs. Additionally, Actiontec offers WiFi6E access points, with WiFi7 access points coming soon. On the other hand, NetExperience’s cloud platform is a fully featured state-of-the-art controller for OpenWiFi that combines advanced Radio Resource Management (RRM) technology with an innovative hierarchical deployment methodology. This methodology enables large-scale service providers like YTL Communications to easily serve many customers with disparate needs, consistent configuration, zero touch provisioning and without the need for human monitoring.

TIP OpenWiFi is a community-developed, open-source-based solution creating a disaggregated technology stack, ensuring a cost-effective and seamless way to deploy connectivity in a variety of WiFi use cases. The OpenWiFi community currently includes more than 300 participants, including service providers, OEMs, ODMs, software ISVs, system integrators, silicon vendors, and industry organisations.
